If only you could hear me sing the song for learning 1-10…

1 – emu  (10 – kumi)
2 – bbiri  (20 – abiri)
3 – ssatu  (30 – asatu)
4 – nnya  (40 – ana)
5 – ttaano  (50 – ataano)
6 – mukaaga  (60 – nkaaga)
7 – musanvu  (70 – nsanvu)
8 – munaana  (80 – kinaana)
9 – mwenda  (90 – kyenda)
10 – kkumi  (100 – kikumi)

For 11 – 19, you say “10 and x”
11 (10 and 1) – kkumi n’emu
12 (10 and 2) – kkumi na bbiri

For 21 – 29, you say “20 in x” (also for 31, 41, etc)
21 – abiri mu emu
22 – abiri mu bbiri
